An Entry-Level Tax Service Preparer is responsible for assisting in the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals or businesses. Their duties include gathering and organizing financial documents, inputting data into tax preparation software, and ensuring accurate and complete information for tax filings. Entry-Level Tax Service Preparers may also provide administrative support to more experienced tax professionals and participate in training programs to enhance their understanding of tax regulations and procedures. Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role as Entry-Level Tax Service Preparers contribute to the efficient functioning of tax preparation services.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the company's value proposition to clients concerning various company products and services and uses prescribed selling techniques.
  • Conduct a thorough in-person interview with potential clients using the company's propriety tax software application.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and considering the impact of all decisions/actions on the customer.
  • Complete all related tax forms per policies and in compliance with legislation and regulations. Furnish taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure correct tax form completion.
  • Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns.
  • Research tax-related questions and issues and responds to clients appropriately and within a timely manner.
