Short Description:

A configuration specialist prepares computer applications, systems, and software for use. Assists in developing software, assisting in the setup of computer software, and organizing and conducting training on how to use the software. Also, assists in developing and implementing configuration management procedures, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security in the configuration management database. Also, be responsible for evaluating team members' performance and recommending improvements.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review UAT testing requirements while assisting with UAT testing during application rollouts.
  • Manage multiple imaging-related projects across radiology and cardiology service lines, inpatient and outpatient, to completion.
  • Integrate XML, and various APIs to CMS for live data feeds.
  • Set up SQL and XML databases and connect them to the CMS.
  • Respond to various customer inquiries or requests (e.g., missing ASN).
  • Post EOBs from insurance carriers, and appeal denies claims to insurance companies.
  • Team member responsible for evaluating and selecting the company's ERP system.
  • Receive orders through EDI, and send ASNs after orders ship to notify customers.
  • Modify and monitor batch jobs to set up mainframe trading partners in the DB2 database.
  • Provide Documentum support for issues that business teams (domestic and international) encounter.
  • Monitor processes on the mainframe to ensure the quality and completeness of jobs' steps and transmissions.
  • Train the EDI personnel on developing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of GIS.
  • Order set-up includes assigning company codes for a client, such as payroll, benefits, and time & labor.
  • Used PDM database to create, delete, promote, and link part and document records in the database system.
  • Research regulatory matters re EPA and FDA in client manufacturing and marketing matters; liaise with EPA and FDA representatives.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Prior experience with EMR/PM software, healthcare technology, technical support, or similar experience.
  • Computing Platforms: General technical knowledge of computing platforms and hardware/software server technology, including web services and SaaS.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
