Short Description:

A Front-End Web Developer is responsible for using their knowledge of programming languages to code user-side applications, including visual elements like menu bars, clickable buttons, and the overall layout of websites or web applications.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with organizational stakeholders to discuss a website or interface's needs, design, and functionality.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers.
  • Create prototypes and mockups of websites or applications.
  • Design and develop graphics.
  • Work with other team members to determine what information the site will contain.
  • Work with graphics and other designers to determine the website's layout.
  • Use HTML, XML, and other appropriate web programming languages to write code for the website.
  • Integrate multimedia, including audio and video, into the website.
  • Monitor website traffic and deliver reports on website traffic metrics.

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a similar degree.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML, Node, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Version Control Experience: Experience with version control like Git.
  • WordPress: Experience with conversions from WordPress to other platforms.
  • Design Software: Proficiency in user interface design software such as Figma.
  • SEO: Good understanding of content management systems and search engine optimization principles.
  • Miscellaneous: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
