Short Description:

A Site Services Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance for equipment, systems, or facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. They troubleshoot issues, perform routine inspections, and carry out repairs or preventive maintenance as needed. The role involves coordinating with site personnel, documenting service activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. Site Services Technicians help maintain reliable site functionality, minimize downtime, and support overall operational efficiency. Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and attention to safety are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment and systems at customer or company sites, including network, mechanical, or electrical components
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using diagnostic tools and follow established procedures to resolve problems
  • Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance in logs or computerized systems
  • Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and other technicians to plan and execute service tasks
  • Ensure timely response to service requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and operational impact
  • Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and equipment needed for service and order replacements as required
  • Train site personnel on proper use, maintenance, and safety procedures for equipment and systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards
  • Support special projects, equipment upgrades, or installation initiatives as needed

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanical, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in field service, technical support, or equipment maintenance
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or network systems relevant to assigned equipment
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for reporting, training, and coordinating with teams
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate documentation of service activities and maintenance procedures
  • Physical Ability: Capable of working on-site, including lifting, climbing, or standing for extended periods
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
