Short Description:

A Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, billing, coding, collections, and reimbursement processes, to ensure accurate and timely financial performance. They lead revenue cycle teams, implement process improvements, monitor key performance metrics, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. The role involves collaborating with clinical, finance, and IT departments to optimize workflows, resolve complex issues, and support financial reporting. Revenue Cycle Managers help maximize revenue, improve operational efficiency, and maintain strong financial health for the organization. Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle process, including patient registration, billing, coding, claims submission, and collections
  • Manage and mentor revenue cycle staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in revenue processes
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize revenue integrity and cash flow
  • Collaborate with clinical, finance, and IT teams to resolve complex billing, coding, and reimbursement issues
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations, including documentation and coding standards
  • Conduct audits and quality checks to identify errors, underpayments, or inefficiencies in the revenue cycle
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports to senior management
  • Lead or support system upgrades, process improvement initiatives, and automation projects within the revenue cycle
  • Address escalated payer issues, claim denials, and complex account reconciliations to maximize revenue recovery

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field preferred
  • Experience: 3–7 years of experience in commercial or retail property management
  • Leadership: Ability to manage teams, vendors, and tenant relationships effectively
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and lease administration
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address operational, tenant, and maintenance issues efficiently
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with tenants, contractors, and management
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple properties, schedules, and priorities effectively
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of property laws, safety codes, and compliance requirements
