Short Description:

A Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting marketing data to support strategic decision-making and campaign optimization. They track key performance metrics, generate reports, and provide insights on customer behavior, market trends, and campaign effectiveness. The role involves collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams to identify opportunities for growth and improve marketing ROI. Marketing Data Analysts help drive data-informed strategies and enhance overall marketing performance. Strong analytical, statistical, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data from multiple sources to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights to marketing, sales, and executive teams
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate effectiveness and ROI
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in customer behavior, market conditions, and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design experiments, A/B tests, and predictive models for campaign optimization
  • Maintain accurate databases and ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data insights to improve targeting, messaging, and overall marketing strategy
  • Assist in marketing budget analysis, forecasting, and performance tracking
  • Stay current with marketing analytics tools, industry trends, and emerging data methodologies
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Python, R, or Tableau/Power BI
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills for presenting insights to marketing and leadership teams
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to develop data-driven solutions for marketing challenges and optimization opportunities
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of marketing strategies, consumer behavior, and key performance metrics
