A Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and building relationships to drive company growth and revenue. Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth and revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to promote products and services
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, potential clients, and areas for expansion
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve short- and long-term business objectives
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and sales teams to align business growth strategies
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients and stakeholders
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of business agreements to maximize profitability
  • Track business development metrics and prepare reports on pipeline progress and performance outcomes
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand visibility
  • Stay informed about market developments, industry innovations, and emerging business opportunities

Skills / Requirements / Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, ideally in a relevant industry
  • Sales & Negotiation: Strong skills in lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify growth opportunities and develop actionable business plans
  • Communication: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing market trends, performance data, and sales metrics
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with shifting priorities
