Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Anaheim, CA, supporting structural and miscellaneous steel projects within the commercial, industrial, and infrastructure construction sectors. This role is ideal for an experienced construction project management professional who understands the complexity of steel fabrication, erection coordination, budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field execution.

The Senior Project Manager will lead multiple projects from award through completion, partnering closely with fabrication teams, subcontractors, contractors, leadership, and field teams to ensure safe, timely, and profitable delivery. Key Responsibilities

- Manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from award through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, procurement coordination, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, subcontractors, general contractors, field crews, and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Review plans, specifications, structural drawings, and shop drawings to support accurate execution and resolve project issues.
- Attend job site meetings, support field coordination, and communicate project updates, risks, and milestones to leadership.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage structural steel projects from award to closeout.
- Lead project budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate fabrication, subcontractor, contractor, and field activities.
- Review structural plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project documents.

- 5 to 10 years of project management experience in structural steel, or 5+ years in a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager role with steel experience.
- Strong knowledge of AISC standards and AWS welding codes.
- Proficiency with Tekla or similar 3D modeling software.
- Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate structural drawings and shop drawings.
- Experience with commercial or industrial steel construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field preferred, with relevant experience considered in place of education.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, safety, quality, and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience managing both structural and miscellaneous steel scopes.
- Experience supporting field coordination, job site meetings, and contractor communication on commercial or industrial construction projects.
