Client is seeking Senior Tax Accountant to join their firm. The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for managing and reviewing complex tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing strategic tax planning for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations. This position requires a high level of technical tax knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively supervise and train junior staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
To be considered for the Senior Tax Accountant role you must exhibit a high level of attention to detail throughout the tax preparation and review process as well as prepare, organize, and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
In this role you will analyze complex tax issues and apply appropriate tax law and regulations to client situations as well as conduct and support tax planning and tax research for clients with complex transactions.
The Senior Tax Accountant must deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely work in accordance with firm standards and client expectations and communicate effectively with clients, staff, and supervisors both verbally and in writing.
The Senior Tax Accountant will supervise, train, and mentor entry-level staff and interns, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback.
In this role you will utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to maintain and reconcile financial data and collaborate with team members to improve processes, maintain compliance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA designation or CPA eligibility strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting experience in a tax-focused role.
Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
1040 preparation and review experience highly preferred.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and familiarity with major tax preparation software.
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
