Medical Claims Examiner
Bakersfield, CA
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Pay: $22/hour
Type: Long-Term Temporary

We’re looking for a Medical Claims Examiner who can process medical and facility claims with accuracy, fairness, and efficiency. You’ll review claims, spot inconsistencies, and make sure every payment is correct—because getting it right the first time matters.

What You’ll Do
Review and process all types of medical and facility claims for payment.

Resolve system-suspended claims for PCPs, labs, radiology, specialists, and physical therapy.

Deny incorrect claims following company policy.

Identify billing errors and potential fraudulent activity.

Verify eligibility and insurance coverage online or through POS systems.

Manually calculate benefits when needed.

Prepare claims that require additional review by other departments.

Maintain productivity and accuracy standards.

Report overpayment refunds and track them accordingly.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment while staying focused and detail-driven.

What You Bring
MUST HAVE Minimum of 1 year of medical claims processing experience.
Familiarity with HCPCS, CPT, and ICD-10 coding.
Knowledge of UB04 and CMS1500 forms.
Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
