About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join our client’s team on a contract basis in Downtown Seattle. This position plays a key role in ensuring billing accuracy, timeliness, and compliance within a professional legal environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in legal billing systems, particularly Elite 3E.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and issue accurate billing statements in accordance with firm guidelines.
Monitor payments, track collections, and resolve billing discrepancies promptly.
Maintain billing functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies.
Input, update, and review billing data using computerized billing systems.
Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to address billing inquiries.
Generate detailed billing and account reports as needed.
Ensure adherence to legal and organizational policies throughout all billing processes.
Research and correct billing errors or inconsistencies.
Communicate with clients regarding payment schedules and account updates.
Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in legal billing or accounting within a law firm or corporate legal department.
Proficiency in Elite 3E billing software required.
Strong understanding of billing, collections, and payment tracking procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple billing tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
