Q. I'm on a long-term temp assignment. I love this company, and I'm really hoping that they're going to offer me a perm position. My husband wants to take a family vacation, and I'm concerned about what taking time off would mean for my chances of getting a perm offer or for my standing with AppleOne. What can I do?

A. There are a lot of unknowns in your question. For instance, how long is a long-term assignment, and how specific are the skills you're using on this assignment? You should speak with your AppleOne recruiter. They can help you understand how or even if it would impact your chances of receiving a full-time offer from the client. Additionally, in the event that you do decide to request time off, the recruiter will want as much notice as possible so they can communicate with the client and arrange to get somebody to fill-in for the time that you are away.
