Salary: $0 - $65,000
Job Description: Develops proposals in response to federal/state Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Applications. Takes program concepts and builds them into robust proposals that include supporting materials. Works with subject matter experts to develop content. Assists executive management, finance manager, and project directors to develop budget. In addition to responsibilities for proposal writing, supports executive management, directors, and teams with written communications for federal, state, and private contracts.

Proposal Writer:
· Writes, reviews and edits content of proposals to meet requirements of Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Applications
§ Develops and manages time line for submission
§ Determines writing assignments
§ Writes proposals or assists others in writing proposals
§ Incorporates input from content experts, statisticians, IS professionals, physicians, and other experts, as needed
§ Solicits feedback
§ Edits drafts for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and proposal requirements
§ Produces final drafts
§ Assists in budget preparation
§ Coordinates printing and delivery of proposals
· Works closely with subject matter experts to interpret solicitation requirements and produce relevant content

Technical Writer:
· Writes, proofreads, and edits written communications, as needed or directed, including reports, press releases, memos, letters, biographies, abstracts, articles, newsletters, presentations, and concept papers
· Conducts research of literature, as required
· Coordinates company-wide/inter-team writing projects, such as CMS SOW documents
· Collaborates with directors and staff on technical writing issues
· Tracks and meets all technical writing project deadlines
· Incorporates a continuous quality improvement philosophy as part of all activities

Additional Skills: Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience producing federal/state proposals
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, health care, or related field required; master’s degree preferred
